Anyone know what style of grab handle a Sept 1960 bug should have? I have a cloth headliner.

Cheers

Andy

Plastic/vinyl grab handles uses a plastic coat hook. If you have the Aluminum coat hooks, you should have cloth grab handles

Just FYI, the ones at BFI are crappy. I don't know if Wolfsburg Wests are better, but I'd give em a try.

Bill,

Wouldn't a Sept 60 actually be a 1961 model??? Or is Sept the last month of the production year??? (ie. Oct 60 would be the first month of 61)

Straighten me out again Bill!

Those handles I listed in the ad are originals from a 61. Even if Andy is not interested in the handles, the pictures should give an idea of what your looking for.

Sept 60 is a 61 model. Aug is the cutoff month for manufacturing year, not Oct.

That's what I was thinking. He shouldn't be looking for 60 handles, he should be looking for 61 handles. (Which is why he needs mine I have listed in the classifieds Very Happy Very Happy )

I have a Euro 60 and haven't paid particualr attention to the handles. When I get home tonight, I will compare the two and see what the differences are.

I know the 61 handles I have listed do not have aluminum hooks, they are the same vinyl as what the straps are made of. (Which actually I think they are made of some kind of metal and just covered with the vinyl).

God I love this stuff Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

It does have the semaphore cutouts, but they WERE filled and signals mounted to the fr/fenders. I have every intention of going back to semi's when I get the bodywork done. The VIN indicates that it was built in April of 60 so it wouldn't be the VERY last one, but it is ONE OF the last ones!!

Lucky me!! Very Happy Very Happy
