The plan is to concentrate on refurbishing the chassis first, then body. Engine will be last.

Nice job. How did you go about applying Master Series to the pans? I have done my whole chassis and more or less every other part of the with mixed results. It seems like the flatter the surface, the worse it looks, for example the rear acces cover plate came out like shit so matter what I did. Parts like the control arms/spindles came out great. I also had this weird problem where for some reason the black (I used AG111, not the chassis black) went on with a dull finish instead of the nice gloss. Did you thin the paint, spray, etc…? I sandblasted (pans I will scuff with sandpaper, I’m done with blasting) and applied paint with foam brushes. Two coats silver, and then 2 coats of black. I’m hesitant to do the pans because I’m worried they’re going to look awful. _________________ - 1977 CEI Sunroof Bus 2.0L F.I. Hydraulic Lifters

I used a 3” fine bristle brush on the pan. Put it on a little heavy and it flows out better. You’re never gonna get rid of the brush marks totally unless you spray. Foam brushes just disintegrate so I never use them
If you decide to spray get a cheap gun that you’re not worried about so you don’t mess up a good one. As master series if it sets up in the gun very long it is gonna be a pain in the butt to get completely clean
. I usually undercoat the underside of the pan so it comes out really nice. On the suspension parts I use VHT epoxy for chassis and suspension. Comes out a nice semi gloss black and it’s very hard.
Hope this helps. _________________ Peace,
