A number of Volksrods run Ford front strait axles so I thought this would be best asked here
Does anyone make front knuckles for Ford drop axle front end with VW Bug spindles, instead of the common early Ford or Chevy? For a Volksrod it would be nice to keep stock brakes all around. For street rodders they could bolt on disc or drum brakes with most any bolt pattern they desired and have front brakes designed for a car with a smaller percentage of its weight on the front (rods often have the engine well behind the front axle instead of over them like a modern car.) _________________

You will have to invest in some machining services to get a pair of VW spindles on a Ford axle. Just use the Ford parts and get some blank rotors and put your own bolt pattern on them.
My next car will be running spindle mount Radars and no front brakes. _________________ I think he meant "rare", as in "not well-done" |
