how to lower a type 3 fastback

im intrested in slamming the front and leving the rear some what raked. For that cool look the car is stock but some what lowerd but i whant more lowered and what else can i do to make the care handle i take this car is going to hit the autoX course it going to look like my freinds car roachghia70 this one http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=201120
its going to have 16 inch rims and disk all around
