I am considering placing a type 4 engine out of a 914 in my 67 square. Can anyone tell me if the blocks are the same? will my cooling tins and fan go on without any modification? any help would be appreciated. |

definitely the second-most asked question, after 'how do I lower my Type 3?'......
blocks are not the same...
cooling tins and fan are not the same....
the Type 4 motor is a unique beast all its own...
and don't forget to 'search' ...... _________________ póg mo thóin

Thank Blankmange, I think I better stick to a 1776 I don't want to do a whole lot of fabrication. I was under the impression that the blocks were pretty much the same and my tins and cooling fan would work. |

Whilst the T4 and the T1/3 engines are totally different beasts, fitting a T4 into a T3 is one of the most natural swops around. The mods to make it fit are very simple,Get on the Shoptalk forums. Start Here:http://www.tunacan.net/t4/tech/type3.shtml |
