Seems like the right place to post this...........
I have an upcoming project which is 165 panel van that has crudely made into a camper some years ago. It has OG paint and lots of patina, it was originally a VW dealership parts delivery vehicle and has remnants of the signwriting.
It was originally exported via Washington DC, and I bought it from a chap in Arkansas. I have been trying to find out the dealership that originally owned the vehicle.
Side logo is ?????VOLKSWAGEN, inc, I can also make out a part telephone/zip of "145"
Door logos are GENUINE VW PARTS
Cargo door side again has VOLKSWAGEN and "Telephone"
Rear hatch has "AIR COOLED NO ANTIFREEZE"
I will attempt to get better pictures soon.
I would like to find out the origins of this vehicle but it would appear to be a needle in a hay stack! I would like to have the logos re applied but cant without the info.
Any help would be much appreciated with the origins or opinions on how I should restore it as I have too many options open.
Thanks |

I've been throught those and all surrounding states looking for all dealerships ending with VOLKWAGEN inc and with the partial telephone number / Zip code but no luck with matching it up. Would the DMV provide the info of the first owner in the US? |

This shweet machine showed up at the local car event last month. I really want it but the owner is unwilling to let it go. It would look awesome in my driveway next to my original light grey swivel bus.
