My first order of metal came in as well. This order was all Wolfsburg west stuff. I figured I would start right dab in the middle of the bus.

Thats awesome that you have another bus too but have started on the new one. Don't sleep, just work on that bus and before you know it you will driving it, I'm jealous. Cool

Started actually putting metal back in. I have just been cutting so long that this feels so very right.

New cross members in the rear and started fitting the front.

Played hooky from work and got some stuff done on the bus. Six new outriggers, front crossmember, and fit the heater tube

Inner rockers welded in place along with two drivers side uprights. Started fitting the drivers b pillar as well

Thanks! I wish I could just work on it all day instead of adulting and going to work 5 days a week.

In other great news... Work has begun on my shop. Soon I won't have to work out of the attached two car garage.

Here is a shot from the side of my house showing the field that will get the building. Very overgrown but we just got it added to our plot of land with the house on it. It will be a 30x50 with a separate driveway off the highway. I cannot wait to have room to work and to be able to store all my cars at on address.

The drivers b-pillar is in. I underestimated the rust in the passenger pillar so I have to order a taller one

not a factory gauge, but is a period add on. do you have the sending unit with it? works with air pressure. pretty cool gauge.

That's a Drager fuel gauge, works on vacuum rather than pressure. There are usually some for sale in the classifieds or eBay. More commonly seen on beetles, but they were available for buses. Nice period accessory, I'd keep it!

I picked up a nice set of replacement front doors. The original ones are rough. Figured it would be better to have different doors over pieced together doors.

If the gauge works on vacuum, likely all that is at the tank end is a tube inserted from the top.

I bought a screw extractor and tried it out on a hinge when I got home from the office. This thing is amazing! I took one off with ease.
