Hi there,
I'm looking to put fiberglass fenders on my 62 as I need to replace the ones I have and I would like to make it lighter to race.
I am just wondering if there is a brand that fits perfectly stock as the original ones, like from Creative Car Craft per example. I don't want any fenders to be widened, just a perfect copy of the originals.
Thanks! |

You mean you have bought or know someone that did buy the fenders from CCC for a pre-67 beetle and it fitted very well (with the aprons)?
I ask the question because I want to be sure. |

If you go fiberglass Creative Car Craft are the only ones you want, there top notch, but I don't think they are going to be lighter than OG steel fenders. _________________ WWW.JBEVWSTORE.COM

Thanks for the reply.
The fenders that are on the beetle don't have exactly the same shape from left to right especially in the rear but moreover there is a slight step from the aprons to the fenders.
And because I have robris at all 4 (bought the car like this) there are holes to fill.
But honestly I would have thought I will save some weight by trading with fiberglass but you may be right.
Gosh that roll cage that will fit in the car is quite heavy. I need to remove some weight somewhere! |
