Which is the proper I.D. for T1 oil drain plug copper crush washers, 14mm or 14.2mm? Or something else? Good source? I'd like to get a few to have on hand; although, I will drop the screen each time anyway.

Just buy ten or more of these kits.

Personally have found it not necessary to replace the plug sealing washer over many oil changes.

If you have 40 HP or later engine you can get one of the CB or VW of Mexico filter oil pumps and skip the need to pull the sump plate off. Plus the engine bearings are much better protected against debris in the oil.

Thanks, E&B, but I have the silicone strainer gaskets that are supposed to be reusable. What is the CB Filter Oil Pump? Never mind I see what that is.

You can take your sump bolt down to the FLAPS or ACE hardware. Both should have the crush washers, or at least copper washer to do the job.

Thanks, never thought of ACE; they're right down the street.

I don't think I've ever seen a "real" crush washer at a hardware store before, and not at a FLAPS either... but I have seen the flat-copper and those hard fibre style gaskets though.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox.

Ace near me has oil plug gaskets/washers, in the little drawers.

I'm going to check at ACE tomorrow. Imagine, could be right down the road. Dancing

If no luck, do try a real fastener supply shop. Tis amazing if the fellows who man the counter are friendly of what they either have on hand or can order something for you.
