Good Morning,
Has anyone tried led bulbs in turn signals or tail lights on Ovall cars? |

... my brother has a '52 zwitter and runs all LEDs... he boasts the lower wattage draw and brightness of the lights. He lives in Florida where there are a lot of older drivers, who can't see very well and those LEDs give him piece of mind.
Personally, i prefer original lighting... my '55 has never been hit with original lighting _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD

The biggest difference needs to be during the day when the old bulbs are hard to see. Night time.... the old bulbs work fine.
I have been meaning to get a set for my 57... after this past weekends trip to Niagara for the June Jitter Bug show they have moved to the top of my "NEED" to buy list.

I rarely drive my old VWs at night and prefer original lighting... |
Do you know where your brother purchased the lights? |

I ordered a pair of the flashing semaphore bulbs from Classic Dynamo on Oct. 14, 2015 and immediately paid with Paypal. No response. I sent several followup emails and never had a reply, nor a refund.
I should have filed a Paypal complaint but I waited too long. _________________ Gone but not forgotten: 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1966) - another 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1996) |

Take a screen shot of the details of the transaction on your Paypal and send it to Peter asking him what happened with your order. His records will show he didn't ship you any, and I bet he'll send you a pair right away.
Test them as soon as you get them. _________________

Done just now. I used the 'info' email on the site, I don't know if that is being monitored or not. I never had any response to my previous inquiries.
I will be curious to see if this one gets any attention. _________________ Gone but not forgotten: 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1966) - another 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1996) |

The only draw back from led bulbs are the speedo blinker indicator won't work.do to no resistance in the flasher. |
