The date of June 22 was chosen in part for its historic significance to the Beetle. This date commemorates the day in 1934 when the developmental contract for the VW Beetle was signed.
Drive Your VW to Work Day has evolved, through the combined efforts of VW clubs and enthusiasts alike, it has grown to become a popular event for many Beetle owners. _________________ FAHRVERGNUGEN;

I drove my buggy this morning to pick up some supplies to do some chores around the house. That is as close to work as I get these days. Does that count? _________________ Brian

You can always hold out and drive Friday, September 2, which is the eve of Ferdinand Porsche's birthday...or just cruise on the 3rd... |

Then drive BY work, not TO work, and give them the one finger salute!
I would have driven Clementine if I knew ahead of time, except for this year. I am giving her a rest after the ordeal coming home from the Type 3 Invasion. Gotta keep my promises to my mistress!
Maybe we need to post this a week ahead or something... |
