I'm at my wits end trying to find out the year it's on a Volkswagen chasis and a vw engine we have found the Chassis code witch is 6063315 and the engine code is 576-3308 we are currently trying to restore the car and we are afraid to buy parts without knowing the year any help would be appreciated thank you |

chassis is 1964 so it should have a king pin/link pin front axle and a swing axle rear - but was it converted to IRS at some point and did someone swap the frame head for a ball joint style so you have a 66 or newer front axle?
The engine number says its a 1961 1200. Could be big bore conversion.
Would suggest posting some pics and looking on here at the different type front and rear suspensions to help identify what you have. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

It dose indeed have king pin/link pin I've been stressing over this for a while the major component i need is a gas tank as this one rotted out thank you veary much for the help as I could not find anything in the vin database |
