|
|
Hi everyone!
I recently bought a 1953 BD deluxe and found that driving in todays traffic using semaphores can be a little stressful.
I saw this kit on a similar bus and wonder if someone knows where it can be ordered .
Also, does anyone know if the body/bumpers have to be drilled to fit them. No need to say I want to avoid this.
Any info on these blinkers would be much appreciated!

Most hot rod shops stock this stuff and I'd just make a bracket mounting off your bumper bolt |

when i registered my 12/59 beetle with working semaphores in germany in the 80s, i found these Hella motorcycle blinkers. They are also used on trailers and tractors. I was able to pass TUV and drive safely in germany that way.
For VW meetings i simply hid them in behind the bumpers

I agree to all of you.
just use brackets with rubbers between bumper and bracket and there shoulnd't be any problems.
we use them for 10 years and you won't see any remains if you remove them, drilling is stupid work that destroys your clean pressed bumpers
Over in Germany, they are not necessary but it's a good idea and they aren't rare or expensive, there are tons of different types, just take what fits to your bus!
I guess the blinkers on the photos are hellas from the 50s or 60s, correct me if I am wrong.
