There is a nut on the back. Cant remember what I used...but either a long skinny ratcheting 13mm wrench or a short extension with a 1/4" ratchet. Ray |

Yes....this is about right. Its a pain...but when you do it once you will never really have a problem again. Just from memory....installing and removing is easier done underneath on the passenger side with corner sheet metal piece removed in front of the alternator so you can reach up with one hand and orient the other.
Sometimes you need to press the bolt forward (its a carriage bolt with a square locating hole)...so you can keep it from turning.
I think when reinstalling...I have once done it by presenting the nut to the bolt in the back by using a long box end wrench with a magnet to hold the nut with lower sled tins removed. You can then turn a few turns on the carriage bolt from the compartment side to get the nut started. It mave have been a 1/4" ratchet. Ray |

If you have the vehicle lifted up so you have sufficient space to work, getting to that bolt isn't that much of an issue. With the wheels on the ground it would be a PITA. |
