All depends on who is looking for them and how badly they want them. if they are Type 4 specific, your market is even narrower than people wanting/owning Type 4's. My 412 came with a 1 piece for both sides, Wolfburg Crest mat set. It's pretty cool, I like it and will keep it but I don't think I would have gone out of my way to look for/buy/ship one. Mats in general aren't fetching much $15-$30 roughly and I don't know how fast they are turning over.

Just list them in the classifieds and see what kind of response you get.

I'm looking for a set of rear type 4 floor mats. I have one, but I'm not sure if these are original. Can anyone verify what the rear floor mats in a type 4 look like and where I could find a pair?

Are you sure the front mats are type 4? To my knowledge the front floor mats that were available at the dealer were made exclusively by Rubber maid...and were a one piece that covered both sides. There is no part number in the book but I bought a set at the dealer long ago. Ray

Ray's right. The front floor mats were made by Rubbermaid and were one piece (that covered both sides). I'm still looking for a set of rear floor mats. Does anyone have a photo of what those look like?

These mats came out of a 71 Type 3 squareback. I don't know who made them?

I have 6 nos In the box sets exactly like the ones Sbritt posted. I also have 2 red and 1 blk rear mats nos as well. The front are type 4 specific but the rears are type 1, 3, and 4. The instructions show which parts to trim for which model although it looks like for a type 4 you trim nothing

Can you post photos of the rear floor mats? Do you only have ONE black rear mat or one set?

Sorry realized I said sets. I have 6 front mats in the boxes black in color. And 1 rear mat in blk. The front are type 4 specific and the rear is type 1, 3, or 4.

the original floor mats are also shaped around the pedals.
So of course it could be VW stuff, but I think it's for several models.
