Hi, anyone know where to get Rear wheel bearings for my '73 412 Variant, part nos: Wheel race: Timken LM78310A, Bearing: Timken LM78349

Any bearings supplier should be able to sell you those. But i've heard these are made between production seasons so you may have to wait till you get yours...

Yes, most of the bearing suppliers over the years have told me the same thing.

I have also found that even though Timkin bearings are of very high quality...I have found that they are not as good as the original SKF and FAG bearings that came in the cars. In many cases I find bearings in the cars in the junkyard and if they are not rusted ordamaged or worn...I have found them to give smoother running and better service.

I have been collecting bearings from wrecks over the years I clean them, inspect them and wire them together with their race with soft wire and store them in automatic transmission fluid. Ray
