What is it with women and the minivan phobia anyway?

it has nothing to do with gender. to me driving a minivan is like buying a $99.00 suit and then wearing it every day, everywhere you go. i won't do it. i'll go kicking and screaming first.

our daily people mover is a 23-year-old mercedes 300 diesel station wagon. it has as much room as most minivans and it doesn't look like a cheap suit. as practical as a a tahoe or suburban might be, it's not a good vehicle for someone who lives in a big urban centre, it's just too big, so something like that would be way out for me. might be a good call for the OP, for sure it has the towing capacity.

Amen. As a car enthusiast, I have choices about what I drive and will not drive something that just chaps me the entire time. I also choose not to wear a lot of pink, although that would hide my nudity and keep me as warm as any other color. Practicality be damned.

We are officially really digging the Mercedes. Now to find the beefiest tow hitch ever made for one of those....
