I still have my first RC plane. A stick built Goldberg Eagle 63.
A 40 size high wing is the best to learn to fly on. Slow enough to give you time to react to your mistakes. And always fly 2 mistakes high.
I hand launch an electric foamy out of my back yard. If you launch it right, hand launch is no problem. Launch it straight and level, not nose high.

A few cobwebs parted and i remembered i have an unbuilt stunt plane kit and a new O.S Max engine/throttle controlled for R.C. use. I was into that stuff years ago but my future wife strolled by and the rest is history............
