To make a long story short, the bad economic times have hit pretty hard, and though I am sure many have been less fortunate as I, we have finally decided to move out of our rented house in SoCal.

I was actually planning to sell off both of my buggies to stash some extra cash, and then my wife found an awesome place with a pool just a couple of miles from my work.

So I will save about $180 a month on gas, and not have to sit through traffic for starters every day... Our rent is $250 less per month. We get a 4 bedroom instead of a 5. The neighborhood is gorgeous, and just as good as where we are now. Our cable/phone/internet bill will drop by $100 a month...

...& instead of selling my Manx, I get to keep it and drive it to work everyday. My fuel costs will drop to about $20 a month.

I am so friggin happy right now I could pee in my pants.
Very Happy

Did I ever mention that I really, REALLY love my wife?

So here is an ode to her... A "buggy valentine"

My wife is so great and so fine and so awesome to me
Like finding lost molds for the Barris Mini T
She's faithful and gorgeous, has such a strong mind
Like coming across a Dean Jeffries barn find
She takes care of the kids, makes gourmet meals
The finest thing I know of not on four wheels
When I work on the buggy she doesn't complain
She asks if she can help rebuild the drivetrain
Hotter than a Playboy, more fun than a Safari
It doesn't hurt that she has a models body
No fiberglass patching on her need be done
...and she is so low maintenance, but such high fun.

Happy V-day to my wife.
I am going to get her flowers right now.

Approaching age fifty and now weighs a ton,
compresses the springs on my dear old wagon.

Sagging and nagging and now on my nerves,
My splitty has got more lady like curves.

Once she was prettier than my antique fleet,
now shes just like a big bag o' meat...

Took half my stuff but left me my wheels,
left my outside with dust on my heels.

5 years later my cars still look fantastic.
Guess thats why I am the lone Vdub fanatic....

I've always felt a kinship to Emeritusx since we've both been thru bad motorcycle accidents. My filipina wife for 23 years has a sweet single sister, who wants an American husband! Very Happy

I appreciate it, I think I got gibbs syndrome when it comes to women...(NCIS)

But instead of boats and marines I am VW's and Army... Smile
