hello.
i have a question about the VW emblem on you're dash..
you know for what it original was used for?
i'm not sure it's the same one of the one that you have.. it's about 80 mm big...
i've got it from my uncle on my 11th birghtday:D

Hi Bubba.
Thanks. Remember, everything looks better on pictures Looking forward to yours one day.
You should bring it to Hessisch Oldendorf It could be fun with 4, 50's at the same place.

RockStock,
That dash is in my '54. I'm currently stripping the bus back to its original paint and the original paint on the "deluxe" part of the dash is a spot-on match to the original paint on the rest of the bus (the light tan color). I have every reason to believe that this was delivered from the factory this way. Some day I'll probably get the birth certificate and see if it mentions this. There is no evidence of any ambulance divider ever having been in this bus--just the deluxe dash. _________________ -- Jeff--happyhippo

Is that a later radio in the pod? I thought BD's would have radios more like Split Bugs?
Thanks, just curious. _________________ (O\U|U/O) Top Vw (o\UU/o) |
