i HATE when someone posts a pic to the forums and it makes the screen super wide. then i have to keep scrolling from side to side just to read the text because it "runs off the screen".
that is REALLY annoying. Ev/Jen, anything that can be done to limit the size (width?) of the pics somehow?
just a thought, and my personal rant on the site. maybe it's the computer here.
other than me not being able to figure out how to use the java-chat, everything else is EXCELLENT, and thanks for a great site.
here's an example of what i'm talking about:

You can do it with text also.

Sorry... you can't stop people from doing that.

After 30 years of programming, you can stop users from doing stupid things.

These large photos also seriously slow things down if you are on a slow connection.

9 times out of 10 the photos are a waste of time anyway. Better to just use a link and let the people go to the photo if they are interested.

Guys, that would entail users actually taking the time to consider their actions. Try going to the Chevy forums I frequent. I have to access them from work, because some of those people have these sigs which are Foto-Chop abortions, all for their 3 word replies in a post. My dial-up is brought to it's needs because some people want to post pics where the car is smaller than all the surrounding area.

Yes you can, but seeing they did not program the board, you would have to dig around for awhile to find the lines.

Ok, I added some code I found to resize photos that will stretch the screen.

Maybe this is a diff. topic, but maybe everybody should use microsoft paint or similar to resize thier pictures for size controll and faster opening and less space used...I am steppin' out in an area I know nothing about here, but thought it might be something to consider..I'm dying to get back to normal already.. What I've noticed is the way they post the pictures rather than the size. Some people post their pictures one next to the other which makes for the wider screen instead

of

posting

them

one

over

the

other!
