Looking to buy a Ghia, need help with engine info

Will a 36hp engine fit in a 70's model Ghia? Thank you.

Why no, as a matter of fact, it won't. But if you want to install an early pan on a late body, bolt in a swing axle tranny and refabricate the rear shock to body mounts then it could work. Confused

Just a question... why would you want to put a 36 in there when those originally came with a 1500?

I'm guessing he found a ghia with a dead engine, and has a 36 horse burning a hole in his pocket....
