| 2 of you guys pm me about your cars 1- wanted $40.000.00 the other when it was done wanted $45.000.00 to $50.000.00 i bought this car for $15.000.00 it has all new wood/top/boot/restored S-wheel and rearveiw mirror all the body work is done the pan is 90% done I SAVED MONEY when i am done it will be one of the niced verts around oh to the one guy is he cheap if it was his 56 he would ask the same----------Ethan |

the ad is sold if it is that one ???? i thought $15,000 was high for it just because that early 55 vert was posted on thesamba with all the body work done with all the period correct parts for only $10,000

yes, projects are cheaper then complete cars. You surprised? |

Come back in 3 years and tell us again how much you saved. Lets see if it is the quality car that people that gave you $40,000-$50,000 prices have.
Also, its not a semaphore vert like some of the prices you were given. That causes a BIG increase in price.
Wonder if your bucket will be as nice as this?

I can't tell you how many cars I have seen where "all the body work was done" but they needed to be completely redone or still needed $5k in work once you really looked at it. Make sure you look real closely at the work that was done before it gets painted.

You really have to take "The Bodywork is Finished" scenario at face value. Like EB said, i too have run across these types of cars only to find out that the work was shoddy, incomplete or more damage than listed. You just ahve to take your time and really investigate before you lay down your hard earned cash.

That's Mike Stewart's former '56 vert. It sold earlier this year at a Barrett Jackson auction for $55k+ Now it's on eBay?
