i have a new buggy wiring harness, and a new turn signal switch, and got it all wired up, but im confused on where the 4 wires need to go on the mastercylinder. they have 2 prongs, but i was looking at my friends, which is stripped down as well, but his has 3 prongs on each break pressure sensor.
anyways, my question is, does anyone know where i should connect the wires on the break pressure sensors? mine has 2 prongs on the front sensor and 2 prongs on the rear sensor.
the manual for the turn signal switch says, one is a "hot" wire, and that goes to the turn signal harness.
so im not sure what wires go where out of the 4.
can anyone help me with this? _________________ CUSTOM OFF ROAD FABRICATION FOR VW TYPE 1.. BOLT ON KITS. for more info, please go to: http://www.myspace.com/blackmetalworks

The brake switch is just that an normaly open contact that closes when you apply the brake.
So it shouldn't really matter wich terminal you plug into with the hot. The other wire will give you brake lights.
You can have someone work the brakes in the car and check the sensors with continuity meter or test light.
Did it come with a schematic.

so, one hot wire to each of the sensors, and the other goes to the brake light? that makes sence.
sorry for my haggard question, i talk too much, but it saves me from going back to answer more questions.
thanks for the help guys. _________________ CUSTOM OFF ROAD FABRICATION FOR VW TYPE 1.. BOLT ON KITS. for more info, please go to: http://www.myspace.com/blackmetalworks

I would think you'll only need to use one sensor. If you use both, wire them independantly and not in series. If you wire them in series and one of the switches goes bad, you still won't have brake lights. _________________ "In any racing engine, the nearer you are to it disintegrating, the better it's performance will be"
