OK so i took your guy's advice, and am buying a 1683 engine with a 537 bus trans for my buggy. I left a wanted ad on the board at the local vw buggy place, and a guy contacted me with the equipment for sale.

The guy is getting out of the sport, so he is selling it to me cheap. He needs to know if i need a trans with a 2 or 3 bolt nose cone.

How do i tell what I need?

Thanks,
Nick

I bought the EMPI solid trans mount kit. It came with a solid rear trans mount, and a front mount.

I looked it up in google, and got a pic of a 3 bolt nose cone.

so looking at my parts I have a 2 bolt nose cone. Is there any advantage to having a 3 bolt ? If so, how can i get one that will work with my kit?

Or is the 2 bolt alright?
