I just struck a deal with a fellow that includes a Thing floor pan that is complete trany axels drums and frontend and it is all the thing parts
Now I know the things have bus cv flanges? but what else should I expect to be able to put on my 69 baja.
Thanks for the help I tried to search but came up empty. _________________

I'm staying ball joint for now. My baja has a bus 002 trans in it right now are the thing joints better than the bus joints on my bug now also what is better about the thing beam I will be going to a king link later but for this summer I want to get out on the sand so the ball joint will be good. _________________

THING joints have more travel then Bus joints, swap em out after a through cleaning and regrease add new boot
happy happy;
I have yet to collect the sinking decomposing hullk from my neighbors back treeline but the THING specific parts I need are all good and covered in grease.

I have a bad memory of a ghia I will most likly never own one again
(me and my buddy almost died in my 71 in a bad car accident it was a no fault accident but still all I remember when ever I see a ghia is that day)
I have heard from a local guy that the thing had a lifted spindle? I'm going to put the thing stub axels on my car and its axels and cv's. Hopefully my budget baja will be ready for sand this summer Its already been over a year. My suby wiring is still only half together _________________

Yes Things have model-specific ball joint lifted spindles.
good parts/deal if you paid less than $300 for the pan.

use the rear thing drums too. they're about an inch wider, you'll be able to stop on a dime....sorta. _________________ blank |

Well I going to pay 500 bucks for the thing pan with a title and a 63 sqaureback euro spec with a clean title so I don't know if I paid 500 for the thing or the square _________________
