Sorry to hear you won't be making the trek. Hopefully, everything will fall into or back into place and we'll see you at the Yuma show. Did I mention that the campout and BBQ is Nov. 11th and the show and swap is Nov.12th? Shameless, shameless plug.   Ha! Ha! Ha! |

Thigs at the show are all a GO! We have been there since last night , and we are all set up and ready for company! A few of us camped out last night....it was FUN ...and Mike Hanson (bigbusmike) gave us a show with his new potato gun....note to all: White gas is a potato gun is a BAD idea! Especially when you put too much! I almost caught it on video....but the explosion happened before I could roll tape...Mike is fine...the potato gun blew into a beautiful fire ball bomb like explosion... It was pretty funny! I think he is getting the feeling back in his hand too  For those heading out....DRIVE SAFE!
The Balloons were out when we woke up...this is going to be a NICE weekend!  |

| hey wicked, did you guys have a good trip with the buses to nm. bus people stay with bus people. i thought buses and bugs where together as vw, we where making plans for nov. weekend but we just have bugs. we had a great time here in vegas all three days of v-dubs, day time, night time, boy we had it all. later |

| Oh no, don't get me wrong. I love all the aircooled VWs. And all air cooled VWs are welcome and expected to attend the Yuma show. It's just that out of all the dubs, bus people tend to make the trips a little slower. You know, reduction boxes, gearing, excess weight. And when something serious goes wrong it is harder to find a part. For example one of the buses on the trip had a front wheel bearing go bad and weld itself to the front spindle. The good thing was we found a place that had all kinds of Vw bug parts. The bad thing was that we needed a passenger side one ton front bus spindle. Needless to say we had to leave the bus behind, find the part in Albuquerque (thanks JP), and fix it on the way home. Other then that I had a fuel pump problem (thanks Gilbert and Alfonso) and an encounter with a law enforcement official that found no humor in the fact that my tail lights weren't working. Got out of the double cab and wiggled one wire, still got a fix-a-ticket. Other then that the trip was great! It is just a beatiful drive through the mountains, pines,etc. The show was well worth the trip, saw some people I knew and met a few new people. The Albuquerque Air Alliance is a great group of people that put on a kickin show. I advise anyone who hasn't been to check it out next year.
