Does anyone have experience connecting to the 123 Bluetooth distributor via smartphone from the front seat?
I'm asking because they sell a model with an external Bluetooth Module on a wire that you can mount outside the engine compartment. It was designed specifically to overcome connectivity issues in VW buses. Seems the engine bay in a bus is like a Faraday cage for the inbuilt Blue tooth models so they externalized the Bluetooth module.
Wondering if the Type 3 has similar connectivity issues

This was the model I had seen with external BT

I have no problem connecting from the drivers seat. CSP Pacemaker distributor (uses same app as 123). No extras.

Thanks for the feedback. I was a bit worried about the rear engine hatch causing interference but I guess since the engine doesn't have an air seal around it there's less of that Faraday cage issue.

No issues here with the 123 version in an early notch with the tiny engine bay. My wideband didn’t like the copper core wires I was running though…
