|
|
Does anyone have experience connecting to the 123 Bluetooth distributor via smartphone from the front seat?
I'm asking because they sell a model with an external Bluetooth Module on a wire that you can mount outside the engine compartment. It was designed specifically to overcome connectivity issues in VW buses. Seems the engine bay in a bus is like a Faraday cage for the inbuilt Blue tooth models so they externalized the Bluetooth module.
Wondering if the Type 3 has similar connectivity issues
This was the model I had seen with external BT

I have no problem connecting from the drivers seat. CSP Pacemaker distributor (uses same app as 123). No extras. |

Thanks for the feedback. I was a bit worried about the rear engine hatch causing interference but I guess since the engine doesn't have an air seal around it there's less of that Faraday cage issue. _________________ Sydney, Australia.

No issues here with the 123 version in an early notch with the tiny engine bay. My wideband didn’t like the copper core wires I was running though… |
