|

I have a 1980 Scirocco S 5-speed that I have been thinking about selling for a while. I have no idea what it is worth - can't find others to compare it to. The body is in good shape, interior is decent - seats are torn, windshield is cracked in corner, odometer stopped working a while ago - so unsure of mileage. Please do not place offers as I am just trying to determine its value. Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for your response, its very much appreciated. It does run and drive, no mechanical issues. My husband used it as his daily driver up until a couple months ago. Its registered, clean title, just no need for it anymore and would rather see it go to a good home. |

Somewhere in the region of $3500 to $5000 in its current state depending on interior condition and how nice the body is.
More pictures of the Scirocco would help to evaluate its overall value!!
Should be very easy to sell!
HTH!! |

That is in nice OG shape(original)!! I will say my thoughts on price are pretty accurate with the addition of the pics you posted.
Nice Scirocco S!! |

I know this is not what you asked but
this is the value it has to me...
I'd keep it, (that's why I have one)
Ditch the back seat, put a diesel in it, get some roof racks
and use that car for long road tripping adventures.
The windshield crack is the worst problem. My cracked windshield was so bad
almost got me to just sell it but I managed to get one, and that was 10 years ago!
Those windshields are $uper-impo$$ible to get now
but at least the crack is way over on the passenger side. Get some
kind of sealant in the crack so it doesn't get worse.
Everything else can be fixed or customized.
I'd phase out that red interior.
On the other hand, if it will never get driven and you can't at least
keep it from rusting away while it sits... just let it go.
The actual value of that car keeps going up because it's so cool and rare
https://www.classic.com/veh/1980-volkswagen-scirocco-s-5-speed-53a0069808-pPvKJjn/ but
impossible to get parts like the glass and any bad rust will bring
the value back down because it is unusable.
