Well, I think I got it resolved! I did go back to the other fittings, but this time I was waaaaay more focused on getting the bubble flare as even and smooth as possible. I used the line I fabricated myself and made sure both ends were super straight going into the connections. No seeping. Bled the brakes and just went for a test drive. So far, so good!
