Not doing the floor first so you can build up off that?

I built up the floor and included the holes for the threaded holes to attach stuff later

I putzed around with it and didn’t get it so I sent to Andrew at AGT. From what we can determine when I had the guy try to add the new key he wiped out the dash delete. Soooooo, Andrew is fixing it.

Let’s not have idle hands. Tonight I built the crossbars and support legs for my new full length roof rack. I’m super happy with the results for a few hours of work.

I agree, Had I kept it simpler, I would have been done years ago for sure. This seams to be my curse. I love doing things differently. Not sure if its right or wrong. Just different. The trailer build surely didnt help with my timeline.

The downside to pulling a design out of my butt is the mock up phase can take several iterations. This is the current lay out, steel crossbars and aluminum outer rails. Then the fiberglass deck area. Im trying to keep it as low to the roof as possible yet still have room to clean the roof.
While making the crossbars i made a simple jig on my welding table to keep them the same.

I can’t keep up with a different variations that I’ve done for this roof rack. I’ll just say this at the latest. I’ve added mounting points for the deck area and a lower support piece for the side rail to slip into. I also lowered the top rail by an inch and a half. I think that it gives a little better look to it.
