I just wonder if Betty had her roots here in Finland. Saarni is a family name here and stands for ash wood (lat. Fraxinus). _________________ 1962 Karmann Ghia Coupe

Yesterday the post brought a most welcome surprise. It was a letter from Betty's niece, Barbara in California.
In it was a needless apology for taking nearly a year to send some memorabilia of Betty's life. I'm also at an age when a year no longer represents a large percentage of my life. I too no longer feel the urge to do today, that which can easily be put off until tomorrow.
This is the program from the "Celebration of Life" from 20th May 2023. Betty was a remarkable woman. I'm proud to have been counted as a friend.

thanks for sharing john. those are some beautiful paintings and photos. i especially like the pier. i'm looking forward to reading her story. |
