The inspiration I have received through the "Awesome Barndoor Resurrection" threads seems to be mostly in this category. I would venture the majority of those buses falls here. Just regular guys, trying to give new life to awesome early buses.

I turned it into an art form in 2006, and it blew up into the biggest topic on thesamba.

as much as I don't really care for RHD vehicles, Ill take the bus over the new porsche.

but I'd also take a 1952 porsche over either.

I remember seeing this bus when UZO first brought it over to my Uncle Chuck's house in the mid 90s and was OG paint with lots of rust.

I still would take this bus painted cream on Kawasaki green. It did something for me back in the early 2000s

It's a nice Deluxe. Best of luck to the seller.

20-107934

Ex-Thom Fitpatrick "vintagebus.com", it was a heroic build by the late 90's standards. But actually would be considered a decent project bus now I believe, certainly better than many European forest find builds that are common now. Thom was putting it back together publicly on vintagebus.com sourcing primarily original and NOS metal, a very tedious process before KlassicFab and other panels became available. When it was sold it was quickly put together, lowered, and painted the sealer green pictured above. It was publicly debuted, I think at Kelley Park but I can't remember for sure. I remember seeing the bus when visiting Thom in Sacramento.

Do you mean the crime of that lovely original paint Barndoor Deluxe being sandblasted? 😂

What? Is that what one could expect in price for these now a days? Or does this have a RHD tax attached?

Look closer, looks to have had a late nose on it prior to restoration.

This has been well-established pricing territory for a long while now. Left hand drive and right hand drive.

The purple thing looks like a towel so maybe spray window cleaner and a towel?

Is what included? A person to keep the windows clean? Probably not.

I saw it just after Thom sold it at Kelley Park as well. It was green then.
