Was thinking of throwing some new wheels on my 76 beetle
Bbs look pretty clean on some that ive seen
Question would it be better to switch to disc brakes ? |

Does BBS make a 4x130 wheel? If not you'll need to replace the drums/rotors.
Front disc is worth the upgrade.

Yeah i cant find any 4x130 , ive heard disc brakes are better |

Not that I know of, but there is a large selection in 5x130 & 4x100… and both of those patterns can be found on conversion drums & disc conversion kits.
It might be easier to find offsets that fit in the (usually FWD applications) 4x100 pattern.
