I’d like to make sure I know where it is and how to replace if needed.

Will also assess condition of hall sensor.

I believe the 12v VR6s use a coil pack on the side of the head. You can trace the plug wires back to it. I think it just uses a crank position sensor and maybe a cam version as well.
