I just got a '65 Ghia with 1 key. I ordered 2 blanks from Jbugs and they sent me ones that dont fit my car, sent them pics of both and finally got a refund. I have the keycode on a little piece of metal and one on the key I have. Any ideas where to look for a key next? Here are pics of my key.

There are quite a few ads in the classifieds for NOS SG coded keys. |

I've used gabvwkey, and can recommend him as well.
I've also used SteelersBus, and would recommend him too.
I'd also recommend staying away from jbugs unless absolutely necessary The people they have doing customer service are clueless, and definitely not VW people. One time I had a package from them get lost by fedex, and the last place it was scanned was Durham, NC. EVERYONE knows how to pronounce Durham, I mean it's in the freakin Kevin Costner/Susan Surandon movie Bull Durham. And this guy at jbugs goes, "the package was last in some town called....Dur Ham". He said it like it was two words. That tells you the level you're dealing with there _________________ Currently own:

My wife lived in Dur Ham in her youth.
That’s the way they pronounce it there. _________________ Volkswagen!

I'm about 30 min from Durham. I have friends that live there, I spend alot of time there. No one says it like it's two words that sound like Derp and Country Ham. It's one word, pronounced like it's Dur'um with a silent H and an A that sounds like a short U. Just like in the movie. Get outside city limits and the real southerners whittle it down to a single syllable, as in Dur'm, with no H or A. _________________ Currently own:

For what it's worth (i.e. nothing) the original Durham in the north of England, is pronounced Durrum by everyone, everywhere.

FYI, that number on the key is your key code. Anyone can have a matching key cut from just the number. _________________ Glenn
