I'm trying to get my interior correct on my 1970 Ghia and appears the padded dash was replaced sometime back but not properly. I believe there is supposed to be a screw at each end of the dash that pins in tight into the door jam. My dash has neither the screw or the hole in the dash, but the door jam does.

Would anyone have a picture so I could see the proper screw and installation?

Many thanks in advance!

Here's really close up. It's a 68 vert but I don't think there's any difference in 1970. Original dash pad and screw. It's never been removed. There's a small collar under the screw.

did they use the original pad under the leather, or use something else. I am thinking about doing a leather dash also.

Its a GlassAction dash pad I had covered by my upholstery guy. As I recall he used a thin padding underneath, its vinyl on the dash cap, leather on the grab handle.
