Hello all, been a while. Last year we took my wife's Thing to a Christmas parade, gen light came on and we started smelling some electrical smells... turns out the high output alternator went into overdrive and nuked our two batteries. I got it started tonight, first time since then (I was hospitalized for 3 weeks and on my butt for 2 months total, almost died from illness over last Christmas) But I checked the voltage and it jumped from 14.4 to 17 something when revved. We have a chrome high output alternator and we are now in Northern Middle Tennessee. I'd love to find a local replacement so we can get it going by next Sunday for Trunk or Treat, but online if they'll ship quick would work as well.

Soooo, I'm looking for chrome high output alternator for 1973 Thing.

I got this one from https://www2.cip1.com/, They can deliver express, but it won't be cheap.

It is working fine since I installed it. Feel free to like the video and suscribe to my channel.
