| This is a Pre-A Porsche 356 1300cc type 506 2pc. long block. Original un-numbered magnesium block has been chem. treated back to factory specs., main bearing tunnel measures perfect standard bore, cyl. decks surfaced, all oil galley plugs removed drilled and tapped and all oil passages cleaned thoroughly. Original 64mm stroke crankshaft is reground to 10/10 hardend and balanced. Connecting rods rebuilt/resized and balanced end for end w/new wrists pin bushings. Camshaft is genuine “Made in Germany” and has a normal grind, reground and re-coated. New forged 1300cc / 80mm pistons with 20mm pins – new rings and locks with Shasta “Dura Bar” cylinders. New main and rod bearings. 180mm flywheel, resurfaced and balanced with new gland nut & washer. Original Porsche Pre-A 2pc. heads, glass bead with new valves, new guides, new springs, Black Oxide retainers and resurfaced. Genuine Porsche 2pc. case resurfaced lifters, pushrods, new pushrod tubes, original KAMAX / DURA Black Oxide treated perimeter bolts, head studs, nuts. Original 1300cc rocker arm assemblies that have been acid cleaned and received Black Oxide treatment. |
