Thing Dash Mock ups
rfoutch
The thing dash needs some help. As I am getting ready to add some gauges, I thougt that I would mock up a single panel. The dash is 24 1/2" X 5" (it has a 2" droop under the dash at about a 30* angle as well) I will be putting in 8 gauges total Speedo (3 3/8") Tach (3 3/8") Fuel (2 1/16")Air/Fuel ratio (2 1/16") Oil Temp (2 1/16") Oil Pressure (2 1/16")Head temp (2 1/16") Volts (2 1/16"). The small circles on the diagram are the stock switches for lights hazards and so forth. The small rectangles are for added switchs, don't know the true number yet.

Industrial Fan Shroud
alan debekker
This is an industrial fan shroud I got from Germany. Take a look at the oil cooler duct, it is not like the normal doghouse design, but it does have the velocity ring. Will this shroud be just as efficient in cooling as one with the normal oil cooler duct. Please see other pictures to compare. *This is a picture of the oil cooler ducting on the back, looks just like any other dog house shroud*

CV Joint Detail
mgirdner
These CVs are from ONE axle off my Thing. One was inner, one outer. One side of each has a narrow gap between ball slots, the other side has wide gaps. I did not notice the difference until they had been disassembled. What is the proper orientation of these on the axle? Narrow gap side on inner facing narrow gap side on outer? Wide gap side on inner facing narrow gap side on outer? Wide gap side on inner facing wide gap side on outer? OR Narrow gap side on inner facing wide gap side on outer?
