I recently found some old hella lights and I'm having trouble identifying them.

Diameter chrome ring approx 14cm
Diameter glass 11cm
Clear glass
Bottom lens 1-68441
Reflector E1.3550.14

Maybe someone can help me out here

Any help aprreciated

Can you tell me how you know this. Hella brochure ?

Mid fifties

Hello Nico,



these are general Hella accesoiry lights used in the early 50s. They are not specific to a certain car. At least in Germany they were in use just a few years, because they don´t show any legal marking as a "snake" with number (later substituted by the well known E-marking). In other words, they turned illegal already in the mid 50s and you couldn´t pass the technical controll if you had mounted these on your car.
Beside the missing legal marking, they just have a clear glas, something the German TÜV did and does not accept.
