The PO of my car took a hammer to the drip rail on the sides of the windshield, and flattened them nearly against the body. It opened up the seam just a little bit. Any suggestions on how to bend it back to where it is supposed to be? Once it is bent back, I am sure that I can fix the seam. Thanks in advance.

Wow, sounds like a weird situation. Not sure why they would do that
Let me ask, possible to get some pics?
As long as they didn’t dent up the a-pillar sheet metal, it should be a pretty easy fix |

Screwdriver....vise grips....no easy way to do it. Just have to do it. Gonna need some body filler to smooth out the dents that will occur. |

They make some vise grips with big wide jaws that are flat and smooth on the clamping surface. Think they're used for aluminum gutters or something. You'd be able to bend up 3-4 inches at a time with those. |

Bent it only as much as needed with pliers. As soon as you have space use a piece of wood like 2x4 or similar and hammer and move it up and down to straighten the bent portion. I would remove the windshield first, just because. |
