My apologies if this is a previous post, but what is your preference on push rod tubes? |

I'm running the empi springloaded ones with silicone seals, so far so good but if I do it again I'd buy the Jaycee tubes. Sure there $90 but you will never have to buy another pushrod tube again. Not only do they look killer but you can torque your heads down without worrying about the tubes. Or if your just doing a stocker then use regular old pushrod tubes, just remember to put the seam facing up. |

If you're not pulling heads to replace them and want to go spring-loaded, JayCee are the best hands down. |

The JayCee pro tube came with 2 end seals, and also a silver metal washer and 2 rubber o-rings. However, there are no installation instructions included in the package.
1) Once the old leaking tube is removed and the sealing surfaces are cleaned, what are the steps to install the JayCee tube? Where do they washer and o-rings go?
2) Are the JayCee end seals silicone and leakproof?

The best push rod tube is the stock style. It’s an important part of the oil cooling system and thicker tubes do not allow for proper heat dispersal.

Perhaps i missed it, but I didnt read the part about the thickness and heat transfer.
Of course aluminum tubes will conduct heat better than steel. Larger diameter will increase surface area, which will enhance cooling.
windage style tubes keep more oil in the the sump when cornering.
Stock tubes also are not as good as stock painted tubes, Hoover does state that.

Contact Jaycee for instructions; sure I know that omitting 1/2 a sheet of paper (instructions) is a big cost savings for many suppliers these days, but WTF !!! Let them know customers are not happy with this omission.

Should NOT be that tough though. Today I found that my 2 homeowners' policies and auto insurance policy account numbers had all changed, so didn't agree with my bank online Bill Pay. And one of the homeowner policies had been combined with the auto. So I couldn't even access both online because only 1 E-mail per account number. So when I tried to call them at 3pm Arizona time the office in Illinois was already closed, guess it's "screw the people in the west" theory !!
And I also did not get a response from my local insurance agent !
So I'm pi$$ed !! |

We wait for you to wake up. Now we have to wait for you to go to sleep too?
Wait until the insurance company offshores all the calls for 24 hour service. Then you will be begging to speak to an American. |

I also bought 1 Scat pushrod Tube (copper anodized) to compare to the Jay Cee tube I had previously purchased.
The Jay Cee Tube is definitely more heavy duty than the Scat tube. Thicker aluminum, heavier spring with more tension, and thicker o-rings.
All 4 of the og style tubes on the passenger side of my motor are leaking slightly at the head, while all 4 og style tubes on the driver’s side are bone dry with no evidence of any leaks. So, I plan to replace the passenger side tubes first with the Jay Cee tubes. Provided all goes well with that removal/installation process, I’ll be ready to replace the driver’s side tubes if/when they start leaking. |

My seals are coming through the rocker arm side of the head.
Anybody know why this would be happening?
I have a 2180 w/ duel 48’s.
I don’t have an oil breather, is that a necessity?
