So I have been doing a lot of research here on the Samba and good old Youtube on exhaust replacements for my 1973 standard beetle. I been hearing a lot of good things on the tri-mil 2 tip exhausts. The problem is when I go to the website it turns out there is a bunch of versions of Tri-mil. Don't know which one to get but I do know I want to retain my heater boxes, stay with a single carb with manifold heat tubes for now and in ceramic coating.
Can anyone point me to which Tri-mil exhaust I need?
Thanks! |

The two tip is really your only choice for your application. Most of them are made for off-road/open compartment cars. The two tip is not a real performance enhancement, you want something in a merged style if you're looking for more power. |

I am running this exhaust on my 1776 stock heads, heater boxes and 36 Dells. Very happy so far. Had them on for about 2 1/2 years and no rust at all so far.
Since I am running dual carbs I asked them to eliminated the heat risers and they did so without any fuss.
Very happy with my interactions with So Cal Imports.

My car is pretty low but not slammed on the ground. I have not had any issues so far.
