I not sure where the map sits whilst on the move to be honest.
I did take a composite log of a few minutes driving but haven't worked out how megalog viewer actually works...
Yeah knocking at idle. |

In order to view the log on Megalogviewer you need to save a log fiel and also save a tune file.
In Tunerstudio you load the tune file you want....do any changes you need to do....then go to File....Save As......and either name the file or let TS name it with a date.
When you start a log you can either save it with the default date......which will match your tune date pretty closely or name it the same as what you saved the tune file name as if you changed it.
I usually just let it save as the date and then match the times when loading into Megalogviewer.
Here is one of my logs.....
I'm not sure how familiar you are with this so I'm starting from the beginning so I apologize if you know all of this already.
When you open Megalog it will usually be blank. You need to go to File...Open File....then browse to the TS folder which is usually in the Documents, Tunerstudio Projects folder. In there is your project file name if you started one which you should have with your new tune file.
Click on that and find the Datalogs folder...click on that and open a file you saved earlier that you want to work on. It will then load the log file and you should have a graph similar to what I have.
You can pick what items you want to view on the graph by clicking on the color tabs and scrolling down and picking what you want to view.
There are four tables of four items each so you have a good selection.
Look at my graph and try to select the same as I have for the time being and you can always change whenever you want since all points are logged but only the selected ones are shown until you pick a different one.
Look at the picture and to the right of the graph is the VE table 1 above and the Advance Table 1 below.
In between is a tab you can click that says.....Open Tune File..... click on that and you can browse to the same Project folder in Tunerstudio Projects but you don't go to the Datalog file.....select a tune file from the Folder you created as a Project...it's in the main folder.
In my case my folder is named Safari MS2 2016.
Click on the tune file that matches the date of your log file and your data should load.
The reason you want to match the saves is so that your data and tune are reading the same....if you have changed the tune your numbers won't match the log.
Hope this helps....... any questions I'll try to help even though we are Oceans apart.
If you copy the two files to a folder on your desktop you can zip them up and send them across the internet for someone else to read too.
I have viewed Pete's Files from Aussieland and on STF you can attach the Zipped file to a post for anyone to download. |

Hey CB, thanks for this post, massive help.
So I have the MS tune file which is a .MSQ and a log file that it .CSV is that right?
When I open them up as you explain in Megalog Viewer it's not going very well... I'd go and get another datalog if I wasn't worried about the engine :/
Just a thought... Is it a composite log you record?
I'll have another go with it hopefully this eve if I get chance and report back...
Once again, thanks for your time :) |

The log file contains data points for a whole bunch of parameters. I guess you could call that a composite log. You select which of the available parameters you wish to plot using the controls on the left side of MegaLogViewer.
This is one of those things that would make instant sense if someone could give you a real-time demonstration either in person or by desktop sharing over the internet.

Megalog file is a *.MSL file
In the Datalog folder.........
Look at the top left of the file pic posted...in the blue.....you can see the name of the file....it is a default date with .msl on the end |

Ah so that's where I'm going wrong... I've been taking a log of the composite logger... Saves it as a different file type and subsequently kinda irrelevant...
I guess I ought to risk another 10 minute drive just to get some data... Then strip the engine.
Thanks again for your reply :) |

Ah Terry thanks for the vids... That first opnce shows my cock up.
I should just press CTRL-L to data log :/
I think I've settled on running 38mm GSXR throttle bodies on my IDA manifolds now, difficulty is deciding on whether to split the throttle bodies and sit them on top of the manifolds and then worry about throttle linkage and fuel rails later OR chop the manifold down and have a flange welded on lower down where the bore spacing falls right and allows me to keep the throttle bodies in pairs...
Issue with the latter I think is with the ITBs lower down that will restrict room even more to get at the plugs. |

I've started down this route with the ITBs
Intentions so far are to retain the stock injector locations, not sure what to do about the fuel rail though...
Also I'm not sure if I'll be able to grind enough off the outside of the ITBs to clear the stud holes on the manifolds so I may end up relocating those... We'll see.

Someone at STF is running the same setup...
Unfortunately I don't have time to play around with it this weekend :/
I could have told you that  |

Didn't realise you were on here Paul... Seen you about on STF though :D
Nowt like a bit of trial and error!
That being said I am so tempted to go for your TB setup :/ |

You ought to post your progress on here too... Its a big market ;)
What tb setup would you recommended? Would the SP1s be better for a street engine or would you stick with IDF/IDA setup. |

On my own 1904cc engine I put a single 36mm throttle on a stock PICT manifold after removing the ITBs |

I saw that... Doubt that'd feed a 2276?
I love the simplicity though |

Is this in a bug or a bus and what air filters do you want ?
I just spotted it was a beetle from your first pic. You'll have problems getting any kind of air filter on the number two cylinder with IDA manifolds if that's of any concern to you |

That's a good point I'd not even though about...
Bugger.
I guess that's where the SP1 setup comes in? Or maybe the 42mm manifolds? How do they hold up na?
Yeah its a beetle

If you are set on using those manifolds and tb's you could try a central filter system. |

You need ITB's on that . Do you have CB 044 heads ? |
