Man, this LM2 is buggy. It has always randomly locked up on me since day one. Unplugging it used to fix it. Now, it stays in the warming up mode. I got a new O2 sensor. It wont work with that one either. It either locks on the welcome page, or . Never hits W100.
I am trying now to contact them to see how $$ it will cost for them to fix it.
Anyone else get a LM2 lemon?
Anyone get theirs fixed outside of the warranty? |

The bad reviews on the innovate widebands scared me off. I ended up getting a sensor/gauge setup from AEM. It works perfectly. Every time. I was able to wire it into my Megajolt for data logging too. |

ah, that's a bummer.
Our old innovate one worked pretty good but it turns out they aren't weatherproof  |

I have an LM1 and LC1 and both are extremely sensitive to quality of grounding and ideally having ground reference right at the engine block, but once that's taken care of, they're both bomber. Can't speak for the LM2 but maybe that's somewhere to look. |

I still have a $40 JAW wideband kit from Alan (the original JAW), meanwhile my brother has been through a pair of those LC1's. I'm sure no one could convince him to shell out more money for that LM2 after the crap experience with the other model. |

I've had 2 LM1s and they have worked fine. I sold my first one for some silly reason and bought a used one off of Ebay. Its a great tool. |

AEM all the way. Much easier to read as well. |

After going through an LM-1 and two LC-1s (all failed in continuous use), I've switched to AEM also. So far, so good.

Have been using an LM1 for a solid 5 years, and it has been great. Not a big fan of the LM 2 though |

I am using a MTXL in a radio shack project box....works awesome. Added a tach and a cigarette lighter plug to make it portable.

OK, I thought an update was in order. Even though I was a few years out of warranty, Innovate told me they would repair it for $45, so I mailed it back to them. Felipe at Innovate provided great customer service. They repaired the unit for no charge. So far, it is working good again.
I will eat my words.
Moral of the story...allow a company to fix something before you rant about them. It broke; they fixed it. Can't argue about that! |

Perhaps start by changing the header for this thread. (You may need to ask Everett for help, as the thread is old.) |
