Here in Oklahoma, we have a parts chain called O'Reillys Auto Parts and they sell Good quality Dupont paint and can mix anything.
i just got a 2/55 bug body and will be painting any add-on parts...fenders, glove box, ash tray cover and etc...leaving the original patina on the rest of the car.
The paint guy at O'Reillys told me he can mix L213...i'll get the mixing formula and PM it to you.
What a GREAT COLOR!

This one gives a DUCO formula file number Dupont which I believe is a ref from glasurit not entirely sure I was able to get a diamond green color with it for my 56 at my local PPG store .

The interesting thing about L213 Iceland Green is that the actual formula is given on the sheet. IF I've read correctly there are 2 formula Glasso & Glassomax
Glasso
39.4 1051 weiB
9.0 1069 dunkelgrun
36 .0 1053 ocker
15.6 1052 schwarz
Glassomax
40.0 1051 weiB
6.0 1069 dunkelgrun
40.0 1053 ocker
14.0 1052 schwarz |

Unfortunately, it only works for the specific set of colors on the chart brought up with I eland Green. However, if you go here http://www.karmannghia.org/paint_chips.html you can get the proportions and cross reference to find out what the base codes mean (which are listed in the section just above the paint formula listing). I did that with Iceland Green to verify and as a lark did it with 412 diamond green 80 LM90 = aluminum 6 LM12 = gelbgrun (yellowgreen) 12 LM61 = ocker and 2 LM40 = Schwarz (black)
So I wonder what that looks like compared to what you have for 412 as I know that the discussion link I first supplied giving an Iceland Green had many more base colors than the one I wrote out in an earlier post. |
