Hey guys, I was thinking about going to the Carlisle, Pennsylvania Spring Car Show at the end of the month, but was wondering if there will be a VW specific section / swap meet area...I have never been before. Anyone been to this show in the past??

Heres the link, couldn't find anything mentioning VeeDubs specifically...maybe I read it too fast though:

i've never been to this one but willing to guess you find some cars and some parts. You'd probably find more at this one:

or this one which isn't too far from Carlisle which is also at the end of April:

or do both!

There is no vw section. This swap caters to the domestic car crowd, but there is always some vw stuff scattered around. I have never seen a new vw parts vendor there. You will probably have better luck searching the samba for parts. If you do go be prepared to do a lot of walking. You can cover it in a day of fast paced walking, but it really takes a couple days to see it all. Happy hunting!

No VW vendors, alot of people and walking. I did find a set of Tommy Tomahawk valve covers there. There were about 3-4 people seling used vw stuff.
If you like old cars all makes and models then you will like it. I went for the first time last year, Alot of antique sings and gas pumps, You name it it was there.
Get there early, for parking like 5-6 am.

What you're reading here is correct...usually 2 maybe 3 stands at most selling some VW stuff, the import/kit show has more but in on my last visit it seemed to be a lot more British.

On the other hand, Spring Carlisle is BIG and lots or tools and supplies vendors a a bunch of muscle cars, old classics, etc.

As others have said, it takes two days to do properly. I usually go Thursday & Friday to the show and then to the VolkfsFest in Campbelltown on Saturday.

That is again my plan this year (except that I will be going to Mt Hope instead of Campbelltown for Volksfest) http://www.parenfaire.com/volksfest/

So true! I have classic Chevys too, and that is why I go to Carlisle. The VW stuff is very far and few in between and very limited. I have attended the import shows, and I will not be doing them anymore because the VW stuff is just as rare then as in the spring or fall shows.
Carlisle is great for american muscle, not for our VW's. Stick to VW shows for VW stuff :)
