Hello all,
I'm kind of new to this European VW signage so hopefully someone and help clear it up for me...?
What's the difference between a 1302, 1303, and a 1303S? Years for each class?
What would a '73 Super be known as?
Thanks for the help.

1303 is a 73+ European Model Super Beetle with a 1300cc dual port engine. 1303S is an "Upper Class" car with better trimmings and a 1600cc dual port engine. |

1302 is the European nomenclature for 71-72 Super.
The S as stated before is just a more optioned car (all options I believe). |

No. The S was for the 1600dp. Fully optioned was LS. |

The S also got you factory disc brakes.
Don't forget the 1302L, and the 1303L. These are the 1300cc engine with the uprated interior and trim.
Effectively, every 73+ Super sold in the USA was a 1303LS, but without the disc brakes. |
