I am one month into a restoration of a 69 Ghia, about twenty mile north of dallas. I have "tried" to order parts from Kustom 1 Warehouse and I have not been to pleased with the customer service I have received. The part were supposed to be here two week ago and now only part of my order was shipped yesterday. They say...But I can not get a tracking number from them...anyways...just frustrated....
Is there a "walk-in" VW Ghia parts supplier here in Dallas. I just do not want to have this same trouble ordering parts every time. In all the magazines they all seem to be in Southern California.
off the subject: does anyone know where I could find the three dash script mounting brackets/clips locally? I DO NOT want to spend $8 on shipping for a $3 dollar part. Call Cheap! |

| I found the push on dash script clips @ Ace Hardware for 8 cents. I have also seen them @ Lowes. |

Wait until you get a list of parts and order all at one time and that will help
on the shipping charges. I was about to order a bunch of stuff from house
of ghia and it is going to be shipped in a flat rate box for 10.00, can't beat
that.

| Another place to try is Qualitat in Grand Prairie. He deals mostly with Empi(new parts) but I believe that he does carry some others. He also has some used parts as well. Just ask for Doug. |

When I ordered for my old ghia vert I used KGPR.
Haven't ordered anything yet for my new one.

Hey guys, this thread is 3 years old. I doubt the OPs questions are still current. That being said, sad to hear V-dub Folks is now water-cooled only. Support shops like Black Gold (Jack W.) & The Bug Stop (Kelly H.) if you are local to DFW. They are valuable resources & worthy of your patronage. Without it they may no longer be there tomorrow.

There is also Miller's Garage in Cedar Hill, Tx..he has an extensive
number of used parts for the beetle and the ghia as well as new parts.
